Parliament of Zimbabwe is considering a petition calling for applicants to have at least five O-Level passes, including English and mathematics. in order to obtain a professional driving license.

The proposal has been referred to the Portfolio Committee on Transport and Infrastructural Development, which will examine the petition and make recommendations.

If adopted, the proposed requirement would introduce a minimum academic qualification for people seeking professional driving licences, alongside the existing licensing requirements.
