Four people have been arrested in Beitbridge for unlawful possession of dagga during a police operation targeting cross-border crimes.

The suspects, Mutema Kanengoni (38), Pretty Sibanda (40), Shamiso Mapingire (38) and Blessing Murefu (34), were arrested on November 1, 2026, by police officers deployed under Operation “No to Cross Border Crimes”.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrests in a statement, saying the operation was part of ongoing efforts to combat drug and substance abuse.

Police did not disclose the quantity of dagga recovered or provide further details surrounding the arrests.
