HARARE — Police have arrested a 38-year-old man after he was allegedly caught posing as a nurse at Sally Mugabe Hospital in Harare.

Godwin Sanyika was arrested on September 11 while allegedly wearing a State Registered General Nurse blue uniform.

Police said the arrest led to the recovery of medications, gauze swabs, needles and a syringe.

Sanyika is facing an impersonation charge, with investigations continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident and how he allegedly gained access to the hospital.

The case has raised concerns over the potential risks posed by individuals falsely presenting themselves as medical professionals.
