MASVINGO — Police in Masvingo have arrested three young men in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Alen Njena near Madzivadondo Business Centre.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the arrests were made on 12 September 2026 after officers received information linked to the murder.

The suspects were identified as Joseph Mutsikwa (20), Elikias Elikane Madobi (19) and Taona Nerupiri.

Police said Njena was found lying at the scene with a stab wound to the chest. An Okapi knife was also recovered beside his body.

The circumstances surrounding the stabbing, including the motive and what led to Njena’s death, have not been disclosed.

The three suspects are assisting police with investigations as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the murder.
