• Explainers that help readers make sense of a complicated policy or event
• Culture and sport pieces with a genuine angle, not just a recap

How to Pitch

Send a short pitch (a few sentences is plenty) rather than a finished draft — we’d rather shape a story together before you’ve put in the work. Include a line or two about your background and, if you have them, links to previous published work.

What to Expect

We aim to respond to every pitch within a week. Not every pitch is a fit for us right now, and a pass isn’t a judgement on the idea — feel free to pitch us again. Contributors are compensated for commissioned work; rates are discussed once a pitch is accepted.
