TechMagTV editor-in-chief Tonderai Toneo Rutsito has accused security personnel allegedly linked to Joachim “G6” Chivayo of assaulting him while covering the funeral proceedings of Wicknell Chivayo and his wife, Lucy Muteke.

In a statement, Rutsito said the incident followed a confrontation over his crew’s clearance at the Chivayo family residence.

He also named Owen Madondo, popularly known as DJ Ollah 7, saying he called him aside before leading him to G6, who allegedly ordered him to stop filming.

Toneo said he had previously enjoyed a mutually respectful working relationship with Ollah.

He alleged that the assault happened later along Gletwin Road, when a white SUV blocked his vehicle, and three men attacked him before driving away.

Rutsito said he suffered a swollen eye, jaw pain and loosened lower teeth.

He reported the matter at Highlands Police Station under reference number RRB 6847154 and said he was pursuing legal action.

The allegations have not been independently verified.

Ollah 7 has stated that he was appointed as the Chivayo family’s official media partner.
