Scottland FC has appointed Peter Ndlovu as the interim head coach following the dismissal of Norman Mapeza on Sunday.

Ndlovu, previously the club’s team manager, will now oversee operations as Scottland works to appoint a permanent successor to Mapeza.

The club announced the changes in a statement dated October 26, thanking Mapeza for his service and contribution during his tenure.

“Peter Ndlovu, who has been the team manager, has been appointed interim head coach as the club works towards appointing a substantive successor,” the statement read.

Mapeza’s departure follows Scottland’s defeat to Angolan side Petro de Luanda in the CAF Champions League.

The club said it remained focused on achieving its objectives for the remainder of the season, pledging to maintain stability, unity and a competitive spirit within the team.

Scottland also appealed to its stakeholders and supporters to continue backing the club as it navigates the coaching transition.
