Gospel star Fungisai Zvakavapano has pulled the plug on the public war with veteran producer Mono Mkundu.

She says her fight is now for Parliament, not Facebook.

In a fiery statement, Fungisai said her stance is about law and justice in the music industry.

“My stance is rooted in legal principle, the law must be respected, but unjust systems must be challenged through research and due process,” she said.

She dismissed claims that she was confused in their private chat.

“My initial diplomatic response was an act of respect, not confusion. It was a mere diplomatic stance in the face of aggressive arrogance,” she said.

Fungisai says she is fighting exploitation of original authors.

“I am advocating for the music industry and the protection of original authors against a culture of exploitation,” she said.

“I will not be silenced by a perpetrator who relies on changing his victims on a divide and rule approach.”

Then came her final declaration.

“Following my research, ini ndati KWETE! and its FINAL until further notice!”

The singer was most angered by the leaking of their private conversation.

“Imagine! A whole adult resorting to sharing private conversations on social media without my consent,” she wrote.

She warned Mono could face jail time.

But she says she will not retaliate.
