Zimdancehall star Jnr Spragga has broken his silence after being dragged into drug abuse rumours, with a blunt statement denying any links to drugs or crime.

The chanter took to his social media to address his critics directly.

“But Mazimbabweans why tichitsvaga nyaya pasina nyaya.

“Guys in life munhu wese anorwara.

“Don’t act like ndini ndatanga.

“Handisi wemadrugs, handisi weCrime changu Kuponda Riddim nema Rymee”

Translated, the Dare Guru leader reminded fans that every person gets sick in life, and people should not act like he is the first person to get sick.

He then made his position crystal clear: “I am not into drugs, I am not into crime, my main focus is killing Riddims and Rhymes.”

The post comes after days of rumours on social media that he had escaped from a drug rehabilitation centre before he completed treatment.

The star has in recent months been championed for performing at youth-focused, drug-free platforms such as Teen Fest ZW at Borrowdale Race Course.

Jnr Spragga is set to perform at Freeman’s HKD Festival at Glamis Arena on October 24 alongside Blot and Hulengende.
