President Emmerson Mnangagwa has used new powers under the recently enacted Constitutional Amendment Act No.3 to appoint 14 new High Court and Labour Court judges.

The appointments were made without interviews in line with the new powers bestowed on Mnangagwa.

Most of those appointed are former magistrates.

Meanwhile, seven judges were promoted to the Supreme Court and two were promoted to the Constitutional Court.
