Allegations of dangerous drug possession against Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe have been withdrawn following his appearance at the Harare Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Mugabe was cleared after his co-accused, music promoter Max Mugaba, took responsibility for possessing the cannabis.
The 29-year-old Mugabe and Mugaba were arrested after allegedly being found in possession of 72 grammes of marijuana.
Mugaba remains in custody as he awaits a ruling on his bail application later this afternoon

The suspects, identified as Tinei Chiripapa and George Chiripapa, are reportedly using their mother’s surname, while their actual surname is Mawarire, police said.
Kenya has now recorded two confirmed Ebola cases and one death.
