The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Chimanimani have arrested two men aged 73 and 38 after recovering 770 dagga plants allegedly cultivated alongside maize crops in Ruwaka Village.

The suspects, identified as Lovemore Zambasira (73) and Liberty Maunganidze (38), were arrested on October 26, 2026, for unlawful cultivation of dagga.

Police also recovered processed dagga during the operation, although the quantity was not disclosed.

The arrests come as authorities continue to enforce laws against the cultivation and possession of illegal drugs.
